5 Things I Want To Help My Audience With
You’ve probably heard this before: “eating healthy is too expensive” or “healthy recipes are too much work” or even “I don’t have the time for (fill-in-the-blank)”. I totally get it. It can be completely daunting to try and live a healthier, cleaner lifestyle and to have no idea where to start. I have been there, and I am actually still on my own wellness journey for both myself and my family.
In starting this blog, I am hoping to help my wonderful readers navigate through their own venture of wellness and health by sharing what I have learned so far and by discovering so much more. This key part of our lives here on earth can and will help us live the best life we are able while also glorifying God with what He has given us. My healthy living journey has been bumpy, to say the least, but it has grown exponentially in the last 1-2 years. This new knowledge (for me anyways) I have acquired needs to be shared with the world, and I am hoping with this blog I can do my part.
I’m writing for me: a stay-at-home-mom of three who wants to impart some health nuggets of wisdom in my spare time (my fellow moms are like “what spare time???”–I get you). I’m writing for you: other mommies of littles, teens, grownups or you may not be a parent at all but you’re health is just as important and great foundation if you ever do decide to have children. I’m writing for you: the college kid, the professional (in the office or a dirty job), the grandparent or wherever you fit in this world. All of you need easy access to the wealth of knowledge this world has to offer about living a healthier life. And as a lot of you may know (it’s totally ok if you don’t, we all start somewhere), if we simply get back to our roots or nature, that is where we can discover what our bodies and minds need to be well–to live our best life.
Small rant over. Let me take you through the 5 Things I Want To Help My Audience With.
Let’s do this!
- Help Rid Your Home and Lifestyle of Toxins
We unfortunately live in a fallen world, and in today’s society, that means products are created, promoted, sold without our best interest in mind. However, we also live in a world where many people like me and you want to live a different way or maybe it’s more of the mindset that we want to get back to how used to be “in the olden days”.
Ridding you home and lifestyle of toxins can be a daunting task because there are so many things that we use for cleaning our homes, bodily hygiene, fragrances, and so many other things you’d never have a clue were bad for you’re health. But never fear! There are ways to navigate getting rid of these items AND replacing them step-by-step. You can do as little or as much as you can because everybody’s situation is different (finances or time). This is also where my fellow DIYers will get some good information because their are loads of replacement soaps, candles or cleaners that you can make yourself! - Give You Tools to Eat Healthy
This was the first area that I cleaned up when I started in my healthy living journey! Aside from swapping out chemicals you use around the home, this is the other less complicated aspect of trying to live healthier. Similar to swapping out toxic cleaners or shampoos, I will be able to guide you through how to swap out current staples in your kitchen for healthier choices. This may even be an area where you have already made changes or changes are unnecessary because your pantry or refrigerator is stocked with healthy goodies. It sounds daunting I know, but little by little, I can show you that making simple swaps like trying to buy only organic vegetables or switching to healthier sweetener options is not complicated at all. - Guide You Through the Supplement World
My current journey towards better wellness for my life is all about those supplements. I know what is good for me and my family to eat and what’s not, but I’m still not a nutritionist. This is sometimes where supplements come in. You still need to be getting most of your nutrients from food because that is the best source. However, there are many things are bodies need that are not available in high enough amounts in food or that our bodies don’t even produce. There is also an important factor with supplements, similar to food, and that is how important the quality and source of where you buy them. My mind is teeming with new information on this subject and I can’t wait to share my experience and help you along as well! - Improving Your Health Doesn’t Have to Break the Bank
This is where many people may get hung up with having a healthy lifestyle because they have either been told or have the perceived notion that eating healthy is expensive or unaffordable. Now, don’t get me wrong, it can get very costly but so do a lot of other things that you spend your time and money in. This is where you have to decide what is worth your time and money and what is not. However, there are pretty simple, affordable ways to improve your health without it being costly and a lot of that comes down to food and lifestyle choices. It may be not what you are used to, but something better for your body and mind should mean a better life altogether. There are also many avenues I’m going to explore and share about how to make your wellness journey make money for you! - Research & Critically Think When It Comes to a True Healthy Lifestyle
We live in an age where information about virtually everything is at our fingertips, so it shouldn’t be very difficult to do a little digging about what is truly best for us. Over the last several years, this has become more important than ever as many things are coming to light about what we are putting into our bodies and using in our lives. Research and critical thinking regarding health decisions (whether it be food, soap or something medicinal) should be one of the more important things you should focus on regarding your life. I promise that this does not have to be overcomplicated! Once you can semi-master this skill, you will be able to quickly find good information about a product or practice and decide if it something you want to incorporate in your life.
This wellness venture of mine and yours can be a major information overload and even scary at times because so much of this is new or different than you thought. I have been there and needed a “me” when I first started (in many ways I still do), and I found so many who were bursting with good tips and practices to share. I can’t wait to begin this journey with you and never did the saying “it takes a village” mean more than right here, right now! So upwards and onwards we go to living our best healthy live and have a ton of fun in the process!
