The Top 5 Thought Leaders in the Health & Wellness Industry that You Need to Follow
How many of these incredible people do you know? I’m going to share the top thought leaders in the Health & Wellness industry that really changed my life for the better. And by the end of the article, you will discover health & wellness is not a fad. It is a lifestyle. It is constant.
Ready? Let’s dive in!
Jodie Meschuk
What can I say about this incredible warrior mama? I discovered Jodie on one of my local Facebook groups for crunchy, Christian mothers and she was always someone who had amazing answers to health & wellness questions. Then I discovered that she was an author and had a large following on Instagram. Needless to say, I dove into reading loads of her Instagram content and then poked around her website. My mind was blown as I discovered a whole new wealth of knowledge on my health & wellness journey.
The topics Jodie covers are vast but anyone can glean useful knowledge from at least one of them. Jodie figured a way to heal her son’s autism and she wrote a book about that journey (it is also a great book for anyone wanting solid health info in their arsenal). She has an array of knowledge regarding supporting our body’s amazing immune systems, advocates for medical freedom for her family and gives loads of advice/ideas and how others can do so, empowers everyone to get involved in grassroots movements, and is a Young Living superstar (seriously check her out if want to know all the oil things!)
The last thing I will say about Jodie is that in the last couple of years she has developed a site (now an app!) for like-minded people who want to be part of an online community that are hungry to learn more about health, wellness, truth, knowledge, etc. If you follow Jodie on social media at all but want so much more information that the powers-that-be don’t want shared, I highly recommend checking out The Warrior Center.

Autumn Bates
Autumn is a certified clinical nutritionist, who through her Youtube channel and website, shares “science-backed nutrition and lifestyle strategies” to help people with weight loss, balancing hormones, anxiety, and so much more. I found Autumn on Youtube when I was interested in learning more about intermittent fasting, and I love her style of videos because they are short, usually cover one topic at a time, and they are so informative with facts about our bodies’ nutritional and other needs. Binge-watching Autumn on Youtube became a “hobby” of mind for awhile after this and so that eventually led to purchasing her programs and jumping into one of her fasting challenges with a community of her followers. Her simplistic but knowledgeable approach to intermittent fasting and nutrition, along with some amazingly tasty recipes, has helped me get over some heath hurdles and reach certain wellness goals.

Nancy Anderson
Nancy is a gamechanger in the world of fitness because of her ab rehab program. She has a laundry list of expertise and years of experience in her roster including being a fitness trainer, nutrition specialist and a pre/postnatal expert. I never knew the extent of what can physically happen to a woman’s body during pregnancy and how important healing my core and pelvic floor is postpartum. Proper core function is so vital when working out (pregnant or not) and can make a difference in everyday life as well. Nancy’s program specific to healing diastasis recti and pelvic floor is made up of a 12-week series of videos that are easy to watch and follow, and if there is ever a problem, you are able to message a coach directly. She designed most of her digital programs to work hand-in-hand so while I heal my core, I can also utilize one of her several nutrition plans if needed. Her following of thousands of moms (and others) who have or are healing their core makes an amazing online community to be a part of because we share in our success and struggles (right along with Nancy).

Leanne Vogel
I have followed Leanne and her approach to the keto diet for many years and the reason she speaks to me so much is because through her own experience and research, she has discovered that there are key differences in how women should approach nutrition. She has an amazing nutrition plan, cookbooks and a great community of followers in her wake. Another great part about Leanne’s approach to keto is that it is simple, but she also shows why it is important to use high-quality products. Leanne was a catalyst for many lifestyle changes I made regarding food and I still use many of her recipes or specific brands on a weekly basis for myself and my family.

Chanda Morse
Another amazing mama bear who has an extensive Instagram following and is an amazing truth-speaker is Chanda. I started following her more recently (within the last 6 months) and her endless research into what we are missing nutritionally (among MANY other things) has seriously helped me step up my game. A phrase she has used for years (and then recently turned it into a hashtag) is “be harder to kill” and a big portion of her content is focused on food, supplements and practices our bodies need to survive and thrive. Food aside, a lot of the supplementation and practices are things I (and probably you too) had never heard of but there is such good science-backed reasons for why our bodies need all these things (whether it is that our bodies can’t produce it, the soil is depleted, etc.). Chanda is such a force to be reckoned with and has helped me and so many others in her online community see that we can live an amazingly healthy life as well as begin our own truth-seeking journeys .

Final Thoughts…
As you can probably tell, I have a “type” of influencer who I glean gobs of information and whose personal journeys I follow. These women have all spoke to me by addressing a need I had at the time, stood out because of their personality or I really recognized the truth they were sharing. As cheesy as it sounds, they really do share because they care. These women have lived through everything they share on their platforms which is so so important because then their content is more than book knowledge. Whether they started out as a professional like Nancy and Autumn or have been on personal journey like Jodie, Leanne and Chanda, each of these women impart their area of expertise to their communities, consistently gaining momentum and more followers as people wake up to the knowledge of true health and wellness.
I’m on a constant search for more truth-seekers, wellness gurus and mama bears to follow. I want to hear more people’s truths and share in their part of this crazy world we live in. Please leave a comment below and share who your favorite influencers are, AND I would really appreciate your sharing this post so more people can find out about these amazing women!
